The name Ilmberger stands for the highest quality and innovation in carbon manufacturing. Each part is produced in-house using Prepreg material specially developed for Ilmberger. This is processed in a complex autoclave procedure, which offers numerous advantages.
Prepreg, a pre-impregnated carbon fibre, features a uniform resin distribution and a high fibre volume content, leading to maximum strength and increased flexibility of components. Processing in an autoclave, a high-pressure oven operating under controlled temperature and pressure conditions, ensures perfect, uniform curing and a flawless surface. This method prevents air inclusions in the material, maintaining consistently high quality in the parts.
Our carbon parts are laminated by hand with care and expertise, ensuring consistent fibre alignment without distortion. After curing in the autoclave, the edges are precision cut by robots for perfect fit and premium quality.
Ilmberger takes a globally unique step in production by fully plastic powder-coating all carbon parts. This coating not only protects the parts from environmental influences but also gives them an incomparable depth effect. No other carbon manufacturer offers this type of sealing, which prevents ageing and significantly extends the lifespan of the parts.
The final clear coat on this component is silky matte, providing a flawless, smooth surface that further emphasises the luxurious and sporty look of our carbon parts. Every part leaving our production is a masterpiece of engineering and design, meeting the highest standards.
Ilmberger is not only a leading manufacturer of carbon parts for the aftermarket but also a recognised OEM producer for renowned manufacturers such as Ducati and BMW. We also produce parts for BMW in the World Superbike Championship (WSBK) and the BMW works team in the Endurance World Championship (EWC), where our parts are regularly tested under the toughest conditions.
This expertise is reflected in each of our products, enhancing every single component.
