The Ilmberger carbon exhaust heat shield for the BMW R 1300 GS (Adventure) protects the rider's leg from the exhaust heat.
The innovative BDC material is used here, giving the component a completely new and individual touch. The final clear coat comes in a silky matte version, further enhancing the appearance of the material.
The surface of the BDC part is unique to each piece and resembles marble. At Ilmberger, the BDC is also laminated by hand, cured in multiple stages in an autoclave, and impresses not only with its striking appearance but also with its technical properties. The various fibres disperse incoming light, creating an unprecedented reflection.
To optimally protect this high-quality material from environmental influences of all kinds, we are the only carbon manufacturer in the world to use a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. In combination with our clear coat, this ensures an unparalleled and unique depth effect, which highlights the premium quality of the material to a remarkable degree.
