Our stainless steel reinforcement struts effectively support, strengthen, and enhance the original engine protection bar. They fit perfectly and, quite literally, “iron out” the weaknesses on the open flanks of the stock engine protection bar.

Let’s say it as it is: Unlike inline engines, the cylinders and cylinder heads of boxer engines are simply exposed and unprotected. This is a technical feature due to their prominent position. Protection is exceptionally important, as the “heads” house the complex ShiftCam valve drive, whose damage is not only frustrating but also costly. For this reason, we offer a range of protection systems for BMW boxers.
Our cylinder head protection for the BMW R 1300 GS complements the original engine protection bars and safeguards the intricate ShiftCam cylinder heads, which are among the most expensive components of the GS.

Thanks to Wunderlich’s signature integral design, it discreetly and seamlessly integrates with the original rear wheel cover of the BMW R 1300 GS. The surface texture matches the original.

Let’s be honest: gear levers* on enduro bikes are always at risk in a tip-over or crash. Ideally, it’s better for the gear lever to yield before the gear shaft does.
