Brake fluid BRAKE FLUID DOT 5.1 is a brake fluid for hydraulic brake and clutch systems with a boiling point of at least 260 °C and an extremely high wet boiling point of at least 180 °C. Due to its low low-temperature viscosity, it is particularly suitable for auxiliary units.
Advantages:
- increased wet boiling point
- Increased safety reserve against vapour bubble formation
- Suitable for ABS, ASR and ESP
- Ensures optimum braking performance and fine response behaviour
Range of use:
After extensive tests in racing use, brake fluid BRAKE FLUID 5.1 can be used in motorbikes in on-road and off-road operation, but also in passenger cars and commercial vehicles, where brake fluid according to the FMVSS 116 DOT 5.1 specification is prescribed.
Application:
May attack paints, varnishes or, in some cases, plastics. May only be introduced into equipment designed for brake fluids.
Notice:
Mixtures with mineral oil and silicone-based brake fluids or DOT 5.0 are to be avoided. The change intervals according to the vehicle manufacturer must be observed.
Specifications:
FMVSS 116 DOT 5.1; SAE J1703; SAE J1704; ISO 4925 Class 5.1
