Our eleventh R nineT concept bike, the WunderBob, was presented to the public in 2018 and has done so well that we've decided to offer the individual components to our customers too.

The rear fender on the WunderBob made of aluminium is mounted securely on the carefully bent and hand-welded holder made of precision steel piping. The fender encloses the tyre and therefore captures spray water directly. The tail section remains clear with this WunderBob fender.

The facts:

  • The fender encloses the rear tyre
  • Spray water is captured by the mudguard
  • The tail section remains clear

Wunderbob for Scrambler?
25 June 2019
So, I have not bought the Wunderbob yet hence the futuristic purchasing date but I will review it when it is made available for the Scrambler. The Scrambler is in my view the most classic looking R9T of all (specially with the aluminium tank) so it deserves an aluminium rear hugger, no plastic, no carbon. Plus it is not really a Scrambler per se so I strongly suspect most riders will keep for road usage. This Wunderbob is what I am after but I already have the Wunderlich side plate holder, so I really hope you guys make the two compatible. Please make it for the Scrambler compatible with the Wunderlich
Wunderlich License plate holder R9T part No. 38981-002
+ Wunderbob rear mudguard (silver) part No. 44850-700
= the dream combination!
Dear Kiwirooster,

Thanks for your review.
Your dream combination of fender and license plate holder fits easily. You then can order. We just did not allocate it because the combination should only be moved on the street. The distance from tire to fender is very low and in pithy off-road use, it can be assumed that stones are pulled in and cause damage. Road use is OK.
