Gran Turismo: Wunderlich BMW R 1250 RS
RS doesn't stand for 'racing sport'? No, that's not what it stands for. Ever since the introduction of the original RS in 1976 it has stood more for 'ReiseSport' (travel sport) or sport touring. This is also the domain of the current RS. If it were a car you'd call it GT - Gran Turismo - in which you can swiftly and comfortably put long distances behind you. But enough of the abbreviations. On the engine side, the R 1250 RS has all the fine ingredients of the shift cam Boxer models, which means the intake camshaft can add two cam profiles: one for torque-defined riding at low, moderate revolutions and a cam profile when you need power. This makes it exceptionally powerful, superior and elastic.
