If you’ve found your dream bike on the used market, you might be lucky and get one with a suspension that still performs reasonably well. Without realising it, you adapt to the “new” bike just as it is. You usually only become aware of the condition of its components when you get the chance to ride several machines from the same series — and then notice that there can indeed be significant differences in ride quality.
