The shock absorber is equipped with a sealed, robust stepper motor drive for adjusting the spring preload. Unlike many original electronic shock absorbers, the stepper motor inside the damper is optimally protected from water or dirt ingress. The robust preload adjustment device withstands the toughest conditions. The generous adjustment range can compensate for a wide range of load conditions. In principle, this is a type of self-leveling system that always ensures correct ground clearance.

The shock absorber is equipped with the patented TracTive DDA damping valve (Dynamic Damping Adjustment), which scores with its convincing damping dynamics and impressive performance, raising responsiveness to a whole new level. It can be electronically connected to the motorcycle plug & play without any further adjustments. The shock absorber is fully compatible with the motorcycle's control unit and processes its control signals. The desired riding mode can be selected and set conveniently and as usual via the handlebar controls. Compared to stock suspension, the DDA damping valve has a larger adjustment range and regulates significantly faster at 6-10 milliseconds. The compression adjustment additionally allows individual fine-tuning of the damping with the suspension tool.
HIGH AND LOW-SPEED COMPRESSION STAGE ADJUSTMENT
Some shock absorbers have high and low-speed compression damping adjustment, meaning the compression damping can be tuned depending on the speed of the compression stroke (or the speed at which the damping piston moves during the stroke).
PURELY MECHANICAL ADJUSTABLE DAMPING
All non-adaptive shock absorbers without DDA offer a wide range of compression and rebound damping adjustment with 18 clicks, allowing you to calibrate your individually balanced damping setup. It's helpful that each click causes a noticeable change in damping.
PROTECTION AGAINST BOTTOMING OUT
PDS System (Position-Dependent Damping System)
Shock absorbers equipped with the PDS system against bottoming out feature a second integrated damping piston that forms an additional damping stage at high compression speeds – for example, during a short, hard compression through a pothole. The PDS system can therefore help to reduc the stress on the motorcycle frame.

The S2 shock absorber line is an integrated, modular retrofit solution. Except for the standard electronic spring preload (EPA), all other components are replaced by TracTive high-performance components.
S2 is an integrated modular retrofit solution for suspensions that combines TracTive high-performance components with original parts. More and more motorcycles are equipped with a standard adaptive, electronic spring preload (EPA), which adjusts the spring preload depending on the load condition.
The S2 components combine a high-performance shock absorber with the manufacturer's original preload unit. The S2 shock absorbers are constructed in the same way as our other products, with one exception: the shock absorber cylinder is made of high-strength steel. The separate high and low-speed compression damping adjustment allows individual fine-tuning of the shock absorber to your personal needs and requirements. Additionally, the shock absorber offers the ability to control oil flow during the compression phase, meaning during compression, through two separate adjusters that regulate damping at low damping speeds (slow undulations on the track/road) and high damping speeds (sudden bumps or potholes). The 18-click rebound damping adjustment allows individual fine-tuning of the damping with the supplied suspension tool.
