The winglet kit for the S 1000 RR from 2019 also allows the use of the Ilmberger M wings on the S model, with all the advantages and without restrictions. For the first time, the striking M look with certified quality and ABE can also be used on the S. The kit also contains reinforcements for the inside of the fairing, so that the original side fairings can be used!
Notes on assembly:
- In addition to the winglets, the Winlgetkit also contains a drilling template for the original side panel parts. These must be drilled using the template to mount the winglets.
Notes on use with other Ilmberger Carbon products:
- With the Ilmberger carbon side panels of the M 1000 RR (36221-300 and -400), the holes required for assembly are already integrated, so that they no longer have to be drilled separately
- The supplied reinforcements for the inside of the fairing are not required for the Ilmberger Carbon side fairings (36221-300 and -400), due to their enormous strength.
Ilmberger uses pre-impregnated carbon fibre matrices for the high-quality carbon. The fibre volume is dimensions and the alignment of the individual fibres is defined. The matrix is then laminated bubble-free by hand and coated twice with a protective layer. The added clear varnish layer protects and emphasises the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure. After hardening in the autoclave, the carbon components satisfy even the highest demands and requirements.
This space age material unfolds its full potential with up to 70% weight decrease compared to the standard part and its weight-specific stiffness. Form follows function here and integrates optimally into the design of the motorcycle. The contours of the machine are incorporated as well as the material and surface texture of neighbouring series components.
