Function and Product Features

• Based on experience with BMW boxer engines
• This product has been developed as an upgrade to form a complete system when combined with the Akrapovic Slip-On Line (#44202-302)
• This header is made from high-quality titanium
• Intended exclusively for use on closed racing circuits
• Increases performance and reduces weight
• The pipes have a larger diameter than the standard system, and removing the catalytic converter allows for improved exhaust flow
• The pre-silencer offers a unique sound experience and produces a deep racing tone from the boxer engine
• This upgrade results in a 64% (5.3 kg) weight reduction compared to the standard system
• In combination with the Slip-On Line, it increases power by 3 kW (4.1 hp) at 7,500 rpm and torque by 2.1 Nm at 6,700 rpm, as tested on the Akrapovic dyno on a BMW R 12 with the standard system
• Installation follows the plug-and-play principle; however, re-mapping is required.
• The optional header is also compatible with the standard Akrapovic (first fit) / BMW Motorrad accessory silencer by Akrapovic
• By installing the optional header, the ECE type approval for the Slip-On Line is no longer valid
• When installing the optional header on Euro 5+ motorcycles (2 lambda sensors), the engine warning light will illuminate after a deviation in the parameters of the standard catalytic converter is detected
• This product does not meet the emission standards required for road use
• Not compatible with the original engine guard of the BMW R 12 G/S
