The conclusion first: this Wunderlich tubular handlebar conversion noticeably transforms the character of the BMW R 1300 RS towards an ergonomically comfortable sports tourer, making even journeys lasting several hours significantly more relaxed than with the sporty original clip-on handlebars.

Wunderlich Navigation Device Relocation for the BMW R 1300 RS – Helping You Stay Relaxed and on Course
Positions the BMW Navigator – or Other Navigation Devices and Smartphones – in the Rider's Natural Line of Sight
Whether the Wunderlich navigation device relocation is used for the BMW Navigator or as a device mount for another navigation system or smartphone, it positions the device ergonomically within the rider's natural line of sight, allowing for relaxed and, above all, safe riding. This means the rider can keep both the road ahead and the navigation device in view at the same time. This proven arrangement noticeably improves comfort while riding, navigating and operating the device. It helps prevent premature fatigue while enhancing active safety and awareness of traffic conditions.

From a physiological perspective, the Wunderlich solution reduces strain on the neck muscles because the rider needs to move their head vertically less frequently. The positioning also reduces eye strain, as the eyes need to switch between near and distant focus less often. The more frequently the eyes have to refocus, and the greater the distance between near and far focus, the more quickly they become tired and strained.
By relocating the navigation device above the TFT display, Wunderlich reduces the need to lower the head and refocus the eyes, supporting active riding safety by keeping the road in view while navigating.

Installation is straightforward, using the windscreen mounting bracket. The windscreen adjustment function remains fully operational and unchanged.

The Wunderlich navigation device relocation bracket is made from black powder-coated steel tubing with a diameter of 12 mm and a clamping width of 90 mm.

Ergonomics on Two Levels: By optimising both visibility and ease of operation, Wunderlich enhances comfort while riding, navigating and operating the device.
