This exhaust system is manufactured from race-proven materials and combines high-grade, lightweight titanium with a handmade carbon-fibre end cap. The dual-flow silencer features a coated outer sleeve, an engraved Akrapovič logo and a specially profiled surface that provides additional strength and long-term durability.

The use of lightweight materials reduces the weight by 35% (1.5 kg) compared with the standard exhaust system. At the same time, power increases by 0.5 kW (0.7 hp) at 7,700 rpm and torque rises by 1.1 Nm at 2,500 rpm compared with a BMW R 1300 RT fitted with the standard exhaust system. These figures were measured on Akrapovič’s in-house dynamometer.

The exhaust system produces a rich, full-bodied sound. The engineers’ objective was to maintain a comfortable sound level that does not detract from riding enjoyment, even on longer tours. The exhaust system is EC/ECE type-approved and compatible with BMW Motorrad panniers. Thanks to its plug-and-play installation, no remapping is required.
