Ilmberger tank cover made of glossy Black Diamond carbon for the BMW R 1300 R/RS
The upper tank cover for the BMW R 1300 R/RS impresses with its sporty lines and integrates seamlessly into the motorcycle’s overall design. It not only provides a premium appearance, but also improves aerodynamics. Its precisely contoured shape ensures perfect integration into the tank area and highlights the dynamic character of the BMW R 1300 R/RS.
Innovative material: BDC
Manufactured from the innovative BDC material, the tank cover gives the motorcycle a unique and individual touch. The surface of each BDC component is one of a kind and reminiscent of marble. The material is hand-laminated and cured in several stages in an autoclave, resulting not only in a striking appearance but also in outstanding technical properties. The different fibres disperse the light and create a previously unseen reflection.
Luxurious finish
The final clear coat with a timeless high-gloss finish emphasises the luxurious, sporty look of the cover. To optimally protect the high-quality material from environmental influences, Ilmberger uses a specially developed plastic coating. In combination with the clear coat, this creates a unique depth effect that highlights the exceptional quality of the material.
