Lithium ion batteries are currently the peak of evolution in the vehicle battery sector. In motorcycles in particular, these batteries come out on top with a whole range of benefits. Thanks to lithium technology, which has been used in a comparable form in mobile phone technology for a long time now, it's possible to get along completely without lead and acids. This means that lithium ion batteries are only a third of the weight compared to conventional lead acid batteries. They're also not only smaller, but can be installed anywhere because they don't contain any acids that could leak.

By using the cell technology LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate battery), the highest possible safety standard for lithium batteries is achieved in this nylon housing.

Lithium ion batteries can endure not only quick charging with a particularly high charging current (up to 90% in six minutes), they also hold the charge for a very long time. The self-discharge is a maximum of five percent per month. The relatively high purchase price of these batteries pays you back in the long-term. With the six-fold number of possible charging cycles in comparison with the simple lead-acid batteries, the high-tech battery has an extremely long life span. What’s more, the uniform charging status of all cells is ensured by an installed processor (“balancer”).

The use of adapters means our lithium ion batteries precisely match the dimensions of the original batteries. The likewise identical connections can thus be swapped out in a jiffy.

The facts:

  • Highest safety standard thanks to LiFePO4 cell technology
  • 12.8 volts
  • 4 Ah
  • 48 Wh
  • Approximately 1/3 of the weight of comparable lead-acid batteries
  • Can be installed in any position, because it contains no acid
  • Uniform condition of all cells thanks to a “balancer”
  • Unproblematic quick charging
  • Small self-discharge
  • Up to six times the lifespan of lead-acid batteries
  • Quick, simple replacement
  • No memory effect
  • New: with charge status display

Battery deposit law We are legally obligated to collect a battery deposit in the amount of 7.50 Euros. A refund of this deposit will be made after our office has received a used starter battery. The old battery can unfortunately not be sent for purchases by mail; if we receive a deposit fee from a recognized return site, we will naturally refund the deposit.

Tip: Lithium batteries have to be "woken up" first at low external temperatures, e.g. the cells have to warm themselves up. To do this, just hold the starter button for a few seconds until the juice suddenly fires up ;-)

Note on §18 of the Battery Act

The symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. If, under this symbol, one of the following chemical signs is additionally displayed (Pb: battery contains lead, Cd: battery contains cadmium, Hg: battery contains mercury), this generally means that the battery contains this metal and its legal limit has been exceeded. Batteries should not be disposed of with household waste as they may contain pollutants that can harm the environment and health. Due to the regulations on hazardous goods, it is not possible to return used batteries by mail. Alternatively, please return the battery to a municipal collection point and have your receipt or invoice stamped there. Please submit the stamped document to us on-site or send it by mail to:
