Our sporty engine protection bar concept combines maximum protection with low weight. The geometry of this component means that the engine and in particular the water pump, clutch and alternator as well as their housing covers are optimally and reliably protected. In addition to this comprehensive protection, we placed the utmost importance on ground clearance and lean angle freedom during the development and construction. The two-part asymmetric engine protection bar thus sits snugly and its compact design also gives it additional stability and rigidity – and all while minimising the weight of the component. The bars for left and right screw on to four selected attachment points. The momentum and forces that arise during a crash or fall are thereby distributed across each of the four points on each side of the vehicle. This reduces load spikes. The assembly is easy and it doesn't need to be removed during maintenance works.

The two highly complexly designed engine covers for the alternator and the clutch are sensitive in the event of a mishap over terrain or a crash.
We have developed a set of light covers to protect the sensitive housing covers. They are uniquely characterised by their integrated, appealing design, which reliably protects vulnerable areas and simultaneously emphasises the design of the housing covers, and most importantly, leaving the superior BMW logo free and clear.
The specialists from Grafschaft have designed the structure of the covers is so that mechanical stresses and force spikes are distributed evenly over the structure of the component. A moulded elastomer element made of silicone is fitted to the inside to provide additional dampening. This also seals the covers against the alternator and clutch covers so that dirt, moisture and dust are kept out.
The covers can be mounted using the mounting kit provided in just a few minutes.

Wunderlich STREET engine protection - black

Engine protection? That’s usually only for the touring enduro, that occasionally ventures off-road. But the underride guard also makes sense for other motorcycle concepts too. Even hand guards were originally only for enduros.
The functional edge design and the careful integration of the single-piece, aluminium STREET engine protection offers full protection for the engine casings, oil pans, manifolds and the catalytic converter. The integrated ventilation openings on the front, left and right sides support the cooling of the engine and aggregates, particularly when travelling long distances on a motorway. Angled baffles deflect stone chips or foreign bodies thrown up by the front wheel in such a way that the risk of damage to the manifolds and the engine is considerably reduced. A further advantage of this engine protection can be seen when crossing ruts, for example. It deflects swirling spray water downward and considerably reduces thermal stress on the engine casing, manifolds and seals, especially when the engine is hot.
The recessed screw connections offers no contact surface on the underside and emphasises the edge styles in the best way. At the same time, the black powder-coated engine protection hugs the engine tightly, ensuring the greatest possible ground and lean angle. The shape of the protection prevents it from being levered out or snagged. Openings ensure that any water or spray picked up can flow out freely again.
It has solid screw connections at four points using two precisely fitting brackets. External forces and torques are distributed over four generously sized, shock-absorbing silent blocks to the four mounts to reduce load peaks. Vibrations are effectively absorbed by the silent blocks.
Typically Wunderlich, the team have made sure that you have good, unrestricted access during maintenance works: for example, an opening has been included for unhindered drainage of the engine oil.
The aluminium engine protection is corrosion resistant and is finished with a black coating. We were able to optimise the component weight and at the same time achieve high component rigidity and mechanical stability of form. The result is a resistant, weight- and shape-optimised engine protection that follows the design principle of "form follows function"; fitting snugly and thus perfectly flanking the flyline of the motorcycle. And it doesn't look like an enduro.

Wunderlich “EXTREME” radiator protection F 900 XR - black

The radiator is optimally positioned in the airstream generated during travel for optimum airflow to cool the engine. The exposed installation position also means that it is unprotected against stone strikes, dust and insects, however. The consequence is damage to the fins, in the worst case potentially even leaks as a result of stone strikes or other foreign bodies. In addition, the finely structured radiator network gets dirty, especially when used on unpaved roads. With a damaged cooler, it is no longer possible to continue driving and dirt reduces the cooling capacity.
Our radiator protection »EXTREME« is designed to provide an optimal air flow. Yet the front silhouette of the cooler is covered in a way that reliably avoids foreign bodies and insects directly striking the vulnerable radiator network.
Our radiator protection is also a visual highlight: The functional design is integrated into the XR's appearance and visibly enhances it.
The F 900 XR already comes with rudimentary radiator protection as standard. Our construction far exceeds this in terms of effectiveness and design, however.

Tip:
If you want to carefully clean the cooler by hand, this must be done with extreme care to ensure that the radiator network doesn't get damaged. Insects and other grime which has accumulated can be easily removed with a damp cloth. Place the damp cloth on the grille until the dirt is loosened by the moisture and can be easily wiped away with no residue.

The ABS sensor for the front wheel sits very exposed and unprotected between the radial brake caliper and axle of the front wheel.
