Note and our recommendation

Motorcycles are often designed so that, when engine protection bars are fitted, the footrests and protection bars touch the ground at almost the same lean angle, which is still within the safe limits of tyre grip. It is important to bear in mind that various factors, such as the motorcycle's load or riding through a dip or pothole, can reduce the available lean angle.

For riders who want an additional safety margin when leaning towards the tarmac, we have developed our lean angle indicators (#13515-200), which can easily be bolted to the outside of the original Enduro footrests.

These Wunderlich GUARD engine protection bars offer the optimum compromise between protection and weight.

They reliably protect not only the cylinders and valve covers, but also both lambda sensors. The comprehensive protection concept enhances passive safety and, in turn, riding enjoyment. In the event of a fall or the motorcycle tipping over, the forces generated are optimally distributed through the protection bar structure to the load-bearing mounting points. This prevents peak forces and moments and effectively reduces stress on the material.

The engine protection bar structure is made from 25 mm precision steel tubing. The tubular sections are shaped using CNC tube-bending machines and then carefully welded together. Visually, the protection bars integrate seamlessly into the motorcycle's design and complement its distinctive appearance. Our ULTIMATE engine protection bars are designed for easy maintenance: the oil drain plug and oil filter are fully accessible for an oil change without having to remove the engine protection bars.
