Compatibility notes

• The engine protection bars are not compatible in combination with the original BMW cylinder head cover
• Applies only to the R 1250 GS: In combination with the milled Option 719 valve covers, the original scuff protection must be removed. Our installation kit #26442-300 enables mounting of the engine protection bars also in combination with the milled Option 719 valve covers – please order separately.

The engine protection bars not only reliably protect the cylinders and valve covers, but also both lambda sensors. The all-round protection concept increases passive safety and enhances riding enjoyment. In the event of a fall or tip-over, the forces acting are optimally distributed via the protection bar structure to the robust mounting points, preventing force and moment peaks and effectively reducing material stress.

The engine protection bars are made from 25-millimetre precision steel tubing. The tube segments are formed on CNC tube bending machines and then cleanly welded. Visually, the protection bars integrate into the motorcycle’s design and emphasise its distinctive appearance. With our protection bars, protective performance and product design are the focus. The engine protection bars hug the boxer engine and enhance your BMW with a premium finish. The surface is powder-coated in black and is ideal for those who prefer a subtle appearance.
