These Engine Protection Bars offer the perfect compromise between maximum protection and optimised weight

The development of these Wunderlich Engine Protection Bars focused on achieving the perfect compromise between maximum protection and low weight. Their compact component geometry not only reliably protects the engine, but also indirectly protects the water pump, clutch and alternator, as well as their housing covers, without impairing ground clearance or lean angle clearance. The two-piece Engine Protection Bars fit closely around the motorcycle and gain additional stability and rigidity from their specific structure, while at the same time maintaining an optimised component weight. The bars for the right and left sides are each securely bolted to three selected existing mounting points. In the event of a fall or tip-over, the forces acting on the motorcycle are optimally distributed through the protection bar structure to the robust mounting points, thereby preventing force and torque peaks and effectively reducing material stress. In combination with the tank protection bars (#40612-002), they form a comprehensive and proven all-round protection concept, enhance passive safety and contribute to riding enjoyment.

The Engine Protection Bar structure is made from a combination of 25 and 22 millimetre precision steel tubing. The tube sections are formed on CNC tube-bending machines and subsequently cleanly welded. Visually, the protection bars integrate seamlessly into the motorcycle's design, complement its distinctive appearance and emphasise the adventure look in a premium way.
