  The optimised handlebar ergonomics raise the handlebars by 50 millimetres and move them 25 millimetres closer to the rider. This improves feedback and handling – particularly at low speeds, when manoeuvring, negotiating tight hairpin bends and riding with luggage – while also providing a better view of the road ahead.

The Wunderlich Touring Handlebar Conversion – combines raised handlebars with an individually adjustable handlebar angle

This tubular handlebar conversion replaces the original clip-on handlebars of the BMW R 1300 RS and noticeably transforms its character towards that of an ergonomically comfortable sports tourer. The optimised handlebar ergonomics, which raise the handlebars by 50 millimetres and move them 25 millimetres closer to the rider, improve feedback and handling while providing a better view of the surrounding traffic.

At the same time, the tubular handlebars improve handling. They provide excellent feedback and make the motorcycle noticeably easier to manoeuvre and control, particularly at low speeds, through tight hairpin bends, when manoeuvring or when carrying luggage. Improved visibility, easier handling and reduced fatigue also contribute to increased active safety.

For an unobstructed view in the rear-view mirrors, we recommend our mirror widening kit (#15120-002). Using carefully integrated spacers, this moves both fairing-mounted mirrors approximately 50 mm outwards on each side, significantly improving rearward visibility in the original mirrors.

The high-quality, bead-blasted precision tubular handlebars made from high-strength aluminium impress with their premium finish. The surface texture and colour are perfectly matched to the fork yoke and handlebar mounts.

The scope of delivery includes the complete mounting kit with handlebar mounts, pre-drilled handlebars, adapters for the original handlebar ends and the adapter (#31002) for extending the clutch line. The original brake line continues to be used. The conversion comes with German type approval (ABE).
