This anti-theft device secures the Garmin zūmo XT2/3/3S / Tread 2 Powersport to the Plug & Ride adapter when used in conjunction with the electronically lockable version of the original BMW navigation preparation

Function and product features

• Mechanical security for the Plug & Ride adapter (#21189-002) on the electronic BMW Navigator locking mechanism
• The two-part Plug & Ride adapter connects the Garmin mount on the navigation device side to the adapter plate on the motorcycle side
• The locking bar is fitted between the mount and adapter plate and can pivot by approx. 40° between two stops
• For installation, loosen the screw connection of the Plug & Ride adapter, insert the locking bar and screw the adapter back together
• When the Plug & Ride adapter is engaged, the locking bar blocks the release button of the Garmin sat nav and prevents it from being removed from the mount
• Once the Plug & Ride adapter is released from the electronic Navigator locking mechanism, the locking bar can be pivoted away, allowing access to the release button so that the Garmin sat nav can be removed

This anti-theft device secures the Plug & Ride adapter (#21189-002) to the electronic version of the BMW Navigator locking mechanism.
Cleverly designed, effective, compact and easy to use, the locking device provides preventive protection for your Garmin sat nav.

The Plug & Ride adapter consists of two parts. On the navigation device side, it features the mount for the Garmin, while on the motorcycle side there is an adapter plate for the BMW navigation preparation. The two components are screwed together.
The mechanical locking device is fitted between the Garmin mounting plate and the adapter plate so that it can pivot by approx. 40° between two stops. To do this, simply loosen the screw connection of the Plug & Ride adapter, insert the locking bar and then screw the adapter back together.

As soon as the Plug & Ride adapter is clicked into the electronic Navigator locking mechanism, the locking bar can no longer be moved and blocks the release button of the Garmin sat nav. This means the Garmin sat nav cannot be released from or removed from the mount.
