Function and product features

• Fits all BMWs with factory-fitted BMW navigation preparation (Navigator IV, V, VI) and the ConnectedRide Mount.

Our recommendation
Always use your smartphone's original charging cable. Many aftermarket cables can result in longer charging times or may not be recognised by the smartphone.

Notes

• Please use the technical drawing (image in the gallery) to check whether your navigation device is suitable for mounting on the USB charging box and whether charging via USB is possible. If necessary, our device holder 21170-202 may also be a suitable alternative.
• To use the smartphone charging function via the side USB-A or USB-C connection, the mobile phone's quick charging function must be disabled.

Two quick charge connections USB A and USB C
The right-hand side of the housing features two USB connections, USB 3.1 Type A and USB 3.1 Type C, which comply with the QC 3.0 and QC 4.0 quick charging standards (QC = Quick Charge).
The activity of the charging box is indicated by a blue LED control light, which is clearly visible directly above the two USB ports.
The charging box is designed to be protected against spray. When not in use, the ports can be sealed with moulded elastomer covers to protect them against spray and dust.

More than just a charging box!
The front of our charging box is equipped with four screws. These are positioned precisely to match the standardised hole pattern of various attachment systems, including the holders for the Garmin Zumo XT and XT2 navigation devices. This allows these attachment systems to be screwed securely and space-efficiently onto the charging box in just a few steps and the devices to be connected to the power supply.
The centrally positioned screw thread is prepared to accommodate our MultiClamp or SP-Connect adapter. Once screwed in, these can be used to mount the MultiClamp smartphone holder (45155-102) or the model-specific SP-Connect smartphone case (45150-xxx).

Sustainability without compromises
In crafting the charging box, we use a hybrid material made from recycled plastics, which we reinforce with 20% glass fibres. The casing is characterised by its low component weight and high strength. In this way, we help protect the environment without making any compromises when it comes to component stability.
