The engine protection bar reliably protects the cylinders and valve cover. The all-round protection concept increases passive safety and thus the joy of the ride. In the event of a crash or fall, the effective forces are optimally distributed across the structure of the protection bar and the durable attachment points, thus avoiding high forces.

The engine protection bar is made from 16 mm, precision stainless steel tubing. The tube segments are formed and then clean welded on a computer-controlled CNC pipe bending machine. The Sport engine protection bar integrates visually into the design of the motorcycle but is a little smaller and more discreet than our normal engine protection bar.

The protective function and product design are the central focus with our protection bars. The engine protection bar formally emphasises the machine's contours. The surfaces are black powder-coated and thus add an additional accent.

Wunderlich DOUBLESHOCK drive protection pad

In the event that the motorcycle falls or crashes, the axle protection pads ensure that the swing arm, the wheel axle and the drive end drive are effectively protected against damage.

The protective pads distance these components during bouncing or sliding contact with the floor or road and thus reduce or avoid costly damage to the motorcycle. In addition to the choice of material, we have also integrated two significant, specific properties into the construction and tested these in racing, these being the damping and abrasion resistance that significantly increases in the slide phase.

The damping: The first positive feature we should mention is the damping, which can partially or fully capture and absorb part of the impact energy where impacting forces occur.

Abrasion resistance: The second positive characteristic is the abrasion resistance, which owing the component geometry increases from the outside in due to the enlargement of the effective slide area. This means that our axle protection pad only offers a low level of frictional resistance on light contact, but shortens the time and area of the grinding phase, such as when grinding along the road surface for a longer period. This means that in a crash with the axle protection pad, the time in which the motorcycle slides and the slide path itself are both reduced.

For the optimum protection of your machine, we recommend the combination of our axle protection pads with our vehicle-specific protection bar systems, for which we offer additional protection pads separately.

Wunderlich ABS sensor protection

The ABS sensor for the front wheel sits very exposed and unprotected between the radial brake caliper and axle of the front wheel. It is a sensitive component that together with the ABS rim and ABS controller prevents the front wheel brake from being blocked and the rider from losing control of the motorcycle. It is an important safety component that must always be working and which must always be protected from mechanical damage e.g. caused by stones, branches or other foreign bodies.

Our ABS sensor protection that integrates snugly into the recess that houses the radial brake caliper, that reliably covers the ABS sensor and protects it from damage.

The starter protector for the R 1200 GS LC prevents the starter of the travelling Enduro from damage.

Tipping over or falling as well as accidental kicks with the motorcycle boots would no longer damage the costly starter. The starter protector consists of anodized and extremely resistant aluminium and is safely mounted via two cable ties and two screws.

The tri-piece tankpad set is designed to match the design of the BMW.
