Jan Bühn
Welcome to the Team
Jan Bühn is an experienced German motorcycle racer from Kronau, currently competing as a factory rider for BMW Motorrad Motorsport in the FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC), where he races in the Superstock class.
Jan Bühn:
"I celebrated my first racing successes with Frank Hoffmann. When it came to suspension, I could trust him blindly – he knew exactly what I needed to be fast. That's why I'm all the more pleased that our paths cross again in this exciting project. The idea behind it? Unique! A BMW that does both – road and racetrack. With just one click, it transforms from a comfortable road bike into a true race bike. No compromises. Many thanks to Frank Hoffmann/Wunderlich, Stefan Schmidt/MCA and BMW – I’m looking forward to what’s to come."
The Background
Frank Hoffmann and Jan Bühn
Wunderlich Managing Director and suspension specialist Frank Hoffmann and Jan Bühn have known each other for over 15 years through the world of motorsport.
When it came to suspension components and setup, Jan Bühn could always rely on Frank Hoffmann. That’s why it was especially important to him to now equip his BMW with a custom-configured, adaptive Wunderlich Suspension system – personally tailored by Frank Hoffmann himself.
Frank Hoffmann:
"Jan is a sensitive and technically highly skilled rider who has always been open and willing to implement and test my suspension setups and ideas in motorsport – even when they were a bit unconventional. This has led to a deep mutual trust!"
The BMW now equipped with the Wunderlich Suspension system is the RR model that Jan Bühn also uses as a VIP instructor at track days. These VIP sessions are designed for all amateur riders looking to improve their skills – whether they’re beginners or seasoned racers.
