The development of this Wunderlich GUARD engine protection bar focused on achieving the perfect compromise between maximum protection and low weight.

Its compact component geometry not only reliably protects the engine but also indirectly safeguards the water pump, clutch, alternator, and their housing covers without impairing ground and lean angle clearance. The two-part engine protection bar fits closely and gains additional stability and rigidity from its specific structure - all while maintaining optimised component weight. The bars for the right and left sides are securely bolted to two selected, existing mounting points. In the event of a fall or accident, the forces are optimally distributed through the protection bar structure to the load-bearing mounting points, effectively avoiding force and torque peaks and reducing material stress. Combined with the ULTIMATE tank protection bar (#41586-002), it forms a comprehensive, proven all-round protection concept, enhances passive safety, and contributes to the joy of riding.

Proven in racing: Wunderlich Axle Protection Pads DOUBLESHOCK

The axle protection pads ensure that the fork, wheel axle and brake system are effectively protected from damage in the event of a fall or crash.
The protection pads distance these components during point or grinding contact with the ground or road, thus reducing or avoiding expensive damage to the motorcycle. In addition to material selection, we have constructively integrated two essential, specific properties and tested them in racing, namely damping and a frictional resistance that progressively increases during the sliding phase.
Damping: The first positive property is damping, which can completely or partially absorb part of the impact energy during sudden force impacts.
Frictional Resistance: The second positive property is frictional resistance, which increases from the outside inwards due to the enlargement of the effective sliding surface determined by the component geometry. This ensures that our axle protection pad offers only minimal frictional resistance during light touches, but significantly reduces the sliding phase in time and space during prolonged grinding road contact. This means that in a crash with an axle protection pad, the sliding time and distance are reduced.
For optimal protection of your machine, we recommend combining our axle protection pads with our vehicle-specific protection bar systems, for which we offer additional protection pads.

The two highly complexly designed engine covers for the alternator and the clutch are sensitive in the event of a mishap over terrain or a crash.

We have developed a set of light covers to protect the sensitive housing covers. They are uniquely characterised by their integrated, appealing design, which reliably protects vulnerable areas and simultaneously emphasises the design of the housing covers, and most importantly, leaving the superior BMW logo free and clear.

The specialists from Grafschaft have designed the structure of the covers is so that mechanical stresses and force spikes are distributed evenly over the structure of the component. A moulded elastomer element made of silicone is fitted to the inside to provide additional dampening. This also seals the covers against the alternator and clutch covers so that dirt, moisture and dust are kept out.

The covers can be mounted using the mounting kit provided in just a few minutes.

Typically Wunderlich, the team have made sure that you have good, unrestricted access during maintenance works: For example, an opening has been included for unhindered drainage of the engine oil. The aluminium engine protection is corrosion-resistant and the generated forces and vibrations are absorbed by impact-decoupling attachment elements. We manufacture the »EXTREME« engine protection using the challenging and advanced hydroforming manufacturing process. This allows us to realise complex component forms and geometries (especially asymmetrical ones, in which we can achieve lower weight and simultaneously realise high component rigidities and mechanical stability through optimisation of the material thickness. The radiator is perfectly positioned for the on-rushing air stream, so that anything being carried by this stream finds its way into the cooler. Stones cause damage, while insects and other types of grime accumulate in the delicate fins. Cleaning is an extremely laborious process and requires lots of elbow grease. The cooler protection’s positioned fins provide optimum air throughput and reliably prevent items from hitting the cooler directly.

Tip: Insects and other grime which has accumulated can be easily removed with a damp cloth. Place the cloth on the grille for approximately 30 minutes so that the dirt can be penetrated with moisture and then removed easier.

Unfortunately, it has become known that the TFT displays are merely attached and secured by three delicate retaining rings. However, this security can easily be overcome without tools with a short tug on the TFT display.
